Install in 7 simple steps
- Measure the wall-to-ceiling run
- Cut the moulding to length
- Apply adhesive to the back
- Press it into place
- Seal joints and gaps with caulk or drywall mud
- Lightly sand the sealed joints
- Paint with premium flat latex (no primer needed)

What size crown moulding should I choose for my ceiling height?
As a starting point, 4"–5" suits ceilings under 8 ft, 5"–7" suits 8 ft ceilings, 8"–9" suits 9 ft ceilings, and 9" and up suits ceilings 10 ft and taller. Larger profiles (9" to 14") are available on request. Contact us for pricing and shipping. The right size also depends on the room and your existing trim, so compare the profile and order a sample box before you buy a full pack.
Can I use foam crown moulding above kitchen cabinets?
Yes, a smaller profile such as 4" is a common choice above kitchen cabinets. Measure the clearance between the cabinets and the ceiling first, and order a sample box to check the fit.
How do I install foam crown moulding?
Measure, cut the pieces with a miter saw or a miter box and handsaw, and bond them with drywall compound or Alex Flex Moulding and Trim Sealant, adding support nails if needed. Then fill the joints, sand lightly and paint. See the installation guide for the full steps.
Can crown moulding be painted?
Yes. NuCrown mouldings are ready to paint: apply two coats of good-quality flat paint. A primer is not required.
